Norditropin NordiFlex contains Somatropin, a biosynthetic human growth hormone that is identical to the growth hormone produced naturally in the body. Children require growth hormone to help them grow, but adults require it for overall health.
Norditropin NordiFlex is used to treat development failure in children who have no or very little growth hormone production (growth hormone deficit). If they have Turner syndrome (a genetic condition that can impair growth); if they have impaired renal function; if they are short and were born small for gestational age (SGA); if they have Noonan syndrome (a genetic problem which may affect growth).
In adults, Norditropin NordiFlex is used to restore growth hormone if it has been reduced since childhood or lost in adulthood because to a tumor, treatment for a tumor, or an illness that affects the gland that generates growth hormone. If you were treated for growth hormone deficiency as a child, you will be retested once you have finished growing. If growth hormone insufficiency is verified, medication should be continued.
Norditropin NordiFlex should not be used: If you are allergic to Somatropin, phenol, or any of the other Norditropin NordiFlex components; If you have received a kidney transplant; If you have an active tumor (cancer). Tumours must be inactive and you must have finished your antitumour treatment before you start your treatment with Norditropin NordiFlex; If you suffer a life-threatening disease, such as open heart surgery, abdominal surgery, multiple accidental injuries, or acute respiratory failure; If you have stopped growing (closed epiphyses) and do not have a shortage in growth hormones.
